Private Pain Doctor in Herzliya

A physician whose entire specialty is understanding pain - and treating it at its source

Most people see many doctors about their pain before they ever meet a pain physician. An orthopedist for the back. A neurologist for the headaches. A family doctor for the prescriptions. Each one sees a piece of the picture.

A pain physician is trained to see the pain itself: where it comes from, which mechanism drives it - joint, tendon, nerve, muscle or a combination - and which treatment actually fits that mechanism.

At Team Clinic 360° in Herzliya, private pain medicine means unhurried appointments, a full review of your file, and direct access to advanced ultrasound-guided treatments - without months of waiting.

What does a pain physician actually do?

Pain medicine is a recognized medical specialty. A pain physician typically comes from a background such as anesthesiology, and completes dedicated training in the diagnosis and treatment of acute and chronic pain.

The work has three layers:

  • Diagnosis - identifying the true pain generator: a nerve root, a tendon, a joint, a muscle trigger point, or a sensitized nervous system
  • Treatment - from medication management to precise, ultrasound-guided procedures aimed directly at the source
  • Planning - building a realistic path back to function, together with physical therapy, rehabilitation and, when needed, emotional support

When is a pain physician the right address?

  • Pain that has lasted more than a few weeks despite treatment
  • Pain radiating into an arm or leg, with or without numbness
  • Nerve pain - burning, electric shocks, hypersensitivity
  • Pain that persists after surgery
  • Recurring tendon and joint pain - shoulder, elbow, hip, knee
  • Chronic headaches or migraines
  • Fibromyalgia and widespread pain
  • When medications keep piling up without a clear plan
  • When you were told "you will have to live with it" - and you are not ready to accept that

A useful rule of thumb: if pain is changing how you sleep, work, move or think - it deserves a dedicated medical evaluation, not just another painkiller.

How we work at Team Clinic 360°

Pain care at our clinic is led by Dr. Lior Shem Tov, a specialist in anesthesiology and pain medicine and the clinic's Chief Medical Officer, and Dr. Natalie Siegel, a specialist in family and pain medicine who leads coordinating care.

The evaluation starts with your story and your file - imaging, tests, previous treatments. It continues with a focused physical exam, and often a diagnostic ultrasound of the painful region, performed in the clinic.

Then comes the part most patients have never experienced: a clear explanation of what is likely driving the pain, and a plan with priorities - what we treat first, what we monitor, and what we deliberately leave alone.

The tools we use

In suitable cases, treatment may include:

Every procedure at the clinic is performed by a specialist physician, under ultrasound guidance whenever precision matters - which, in pain medicine, is almost always.

Private care - what it changes in practice

  • Appointments within days, not months
  • Time - a real conversation, not a seven-minute slot
  • One physician who owns the plan and follows through
  • Diagnosis and treatment under one roof, including ultrasound
  • Direct communication with the clinic between visits

Pain is a medical problem - treat it like one

If pain is shaping your days, waking your nights, or has simply never been properly explained - a dedicated pain evaluation is the right next step.

Frequently asked questions

What is the difference between a pain physician and an orthopedist?

An orthopedist focuses on the structure - bones, joints, surgical questions. A pain physician focuses on the pain mechanism itself, including nerves, tendons, muscles and the nervous system, and on non-surgical solutions. The two often work together; read more in our guide Pain Doctor or Orthopedist?

Do I need a referral?

No. As a private clinic, you can book a consultation directly, and we will tell you honestly whether a pain physician is the right address for your situation.

Will I be offered an injection at the first visit?

Only if the diagnosis clearly supports it and you are comfortable proceeding. Many first visits end with a plan, not a procedure. Diagnosis always comes first.

Can a pain physician help if my imaging is "normal"?

Yes - and this is common. Many pain generators, such as myofascial trigger points, small-nerve entrapments or tendinopathy, do not show clearly on standard imaging. A clinical exam with diagnostic ultrasound often finds what the MRI report does not tell.

Do you replace my family doctor?

No - we work alongside your ongoing care. Our coordinating-care model, led by Dr. Natalie Siegel, is designed to connect all the findings into one clear plan and communicate it back to your treating physicians.

The information on this page is general in nature and does not replace a personal medical diagnosis, consultation or treatment. Any treatment is tailored only after a medical evaluation, at the physician's discretion.
